Due to COVID-19 and Alberta Heath Services’ guidelines for public gatherings and social distancing, delegation/question period submissions are to be in writing until further notice.

Committees Bylaw 42-18 requires the Chair of a Governance Committee to annually present a summary or highlight report of activities of the respective Committee at a Regular Council Meeting.

The Okotoks RCMP Municipal Detachment Quarterly Update is provided to Council for information.

The direction and timeline contained within Motion 18.C.496 regarding a three-stream waste diversion program for the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional sector are no longer attainable and a Council decision is required.

Direction regarding further development of a proposed Business Support Grants Program Policy presented at the May 4, 2020 Emergency Advisory Committee is required.

The 2020 Second Quarter Variance Report is provided to Council for information.

Council approval is required to submit projects for the new provincial Municipal Stimulus Program.

The purpose of Bylaw 32-20 is to reinstate the fees for development applications and land use changes that were previously waived in order to provide financial relief to residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Bylaw is ready for three readings.

Due to COVID-19 members of the public are not able to physically attend this Statutory Public Hearing. Submissions received by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 regarding Bylaw 23-20 - Municipal Development Plan from members of the public have been included in the agenda package. Submissions received after this and up until 7:00 p.m. on September 14, 2020 will be summarized and read during the Hearing.  On September 14, 2020, after Administration has fully reported on the Bylaw, the Mayor will announce a break to provide an opportunity to anyone wishing to respond to new information that has arisen from Administration's report.  Responses will only be received for the duration of the break via email using the submit button on okotoks.ca or to [email protected]. Responses will be summarized and noted after the break.  

Depending on the outcome of the Public Hearing this Bylaw is ready for second reading.
