Citizen Member Appointments to a Committee/Board (FOIP 19(1))

The Okotoks Peewee “A” Female Hockey Team has requested Council’s consideration for financial assistance towards hosting the 2018 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships in Okotoks.

Council is requested to consider supporting the City of Calgary's Alberta Urban Municipalities Association resolution to the provincial government to establish an Extended Producer Responsibility in Alberta to help manage consumer materials at their end-of-life.

The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association is calling on municipalities across Alberta to join in advocating for the Government of Alberta to implement a new, more equitable police funding model.

An alternate appointment is required to cover off any absences of the Mayor that may occur for the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board meetings or requirements.

Administration has provided an update concerning the revised Pageantry Signage in New Neighbourhoods Policy for information. 

The purpose of Bylaw 19-18 is to ensure Council's decision to establish a speed limit of 40 km/hr unless otherwise posted is legislatively supported. 

This Bylaw is ready for three readings. 

The purpose of Bylaw 11-18 is to amend Land Use Bylaw 40-98 to accommodate all the signage originally proposed on-site for The Parkhouses project as documented in the November 15, 2017 Subdivision and Development Appeal Board decision.

The purpose of Bylaw 12-18 is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by redesignating ±11.06 hectares (±27.32 ac) of land within Lot 1, Block 9, Plan 151 2942 from Urban Holdings District to Residential Narrow Lot Single Detached District, Residential Small Lot Single Detached District, Residential Low Density Multi-Unit District, Residential Single Detached District, and Public Service District.

This Bylaw is ready for first reading only.

The purpose of Bylaw 13-18 is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by redesignating ±5.66 hectares (±13.99 ac) of Lot 1, Block 9, Plan 151 2942 and Area ‘B’, Plan 171 1536 from Urban Holdings District to Residential Narrow Lot Single Detached District, Residential Small Lot Single Detached District, Residential Low Density Multi-Unit District, Residential Medium Density Multi-Unit District, and Public Service District.

The purpose of Bylaw 14-18 is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by redesignating ±3.81 hectares (±9.4 ac) of Lot 1, Block 9, Plan 151 2942 from Urban Holdings District to Residential Narrow Lot Single Detached District.

The purpose of Bylaw 15-18 is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by revising the minimum area of site requirements for side-by-side duplexes in the Residential Low-Density Multi-Unit District to allow a smaller area for laned sites.
