The purpose of Bylaw 32-24 is to adopt the Ridgemont Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan to facilitate phased urban development of approximately +/- 63.82 ha (157.71 acres) of a primarily residential community with a commercial centre in northeast Okotoks.

The purpose of Bylaw 33-24 is to amend Land Use Bylaw 17-21 by redesignating approximately +/- 12.82 ha (+/- 31.68 acres) of land within the Ridgemont NASP from Agricultural and Land Holdings (ALH) District to Neighbourhood Core (NC) District, Traditional Neighbourhood (TN) District and Recreation & Open Space (ROS) District.

An updated Housing Needs Assessment is presented to Council for information.

Short term options to increase the supply of affordable rental housing is provided for Council consideration.

A review of the Town’s summer 2024 water usage is presented to Council for information.

The purpose of Bylaw 20-24 is to adopt the North Point Area Structure Plan to facilitate phased industrial development of approximately +/- 246ha (+/- 608 acres) of land in northeast Okotoks.


This Bylaw is ready for third reading as amended.
