Okotoks resident Avinash Kowshik will be in attendance regarding enforcement of the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw.  

The Calgary Metropolitan Region Board consultant, HDR | Calthorpe, will be in attendance to provide an overview of the revised final draft of the CMRB Growth Plan and Servicing Plan.

The Urban Deer Task Force has completed extensive research and developed recommendations for Council’s consideration.

Notice of intention to designate the Canadian Pacific Station as a Historic Resource is provided to the Town. 

A Development Permit Application has been received for an amendment to DP109-19 at 256 Don Seaman Way in Okotoks and for which Council is the Development Authority.

Funding considerations are provided to Council for consideration with regard to working with proposed partners in the development of an affordable housing project on Town purchased land in the D’Arcy neighbourhood.

The purpose of Water Allocation Policy CMD-P-3.0 is to provide a more holistic and simpler approach to managing the available amount of water capacity to new developments, and is provided to Council for consideration and approval.

The 2019 Financial Indicator Report based on Alberta Municipal Affairs data are provided to Council for information.

The purpose of Bylaw 05-21 is to authorize the rates of taxation levied against assessed taxable properties, including properties with supplementary assessments, for the 2021 taxation year.

This Bylaw is ready for three readings. 

The purpose of Bylaw 07-21 is to establish the same rates of taxation as Foothills County for subject properties as ordered by the annexation Orders in Council numbers 519/2003 and 199/2017.

The purpose of Bylaw 16-21 is to amend the Tax Penalty Bylaw for the 2021 year to provide financial penalty relief to Town property taxpayers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to COVID-19 members of the public are unable to physically attend Statutory Public Hearings. Written submissions received by 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 regarding Bylaw 11-21 - Clean Energy Improvement Program and Bylaw 12-21 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment from members of the public have been included in the agenda package. Submissions received after this and up until 7:00 P.M. on May 10, 2021 will be summarized and read during the Hearings. Requests to appear live and provide comment via remote access during the Hearings are accepted up until 12:00 P.M. on May 10, 2021.

After Administration has fully reported on the Bylaw at each Public Hearing, a 15 minute break will be announced to provide an opportunity to anyone wishing to respond to new information that has arisen from the report by Administration. Responses will only be received for the duration of the break via email using the submit button on okotoks.ca or to legislativeservices@okotoks.ca. Responses will be summarized and noted after each break.

The purpose of Bylaw 11-21 is to authorize the Town of Okotoks to engage in a clean energy improvement program.

The purpose of Bylaw 12-21 is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by redesignating ±1.12 hectares (±2.76 ac) of Block 1, Plan 011 0204 from Urban Holdings District to Gateway Commercial District.
